My assets and alerts in AssetPilot
Two pages keep everyone on top of their equipment: My assets for each person, and Alerts for the team that manages assets.
My assets
Inventory → My assets lists everything checked out to you, with due dates. It is available to every role, including Viewers.
- The Due column shows In 4 days or 3 days overdue.
- A warning at the top flags anything overdue.
- Select a tag to open the asset record.
Alerts
Overview → Alerts collects everything that needs action. The number on the Alerts item in the left rail matches the Needs attention tile on the dashboard.
| Tab | Lists |
|---|---|
| Warranty expiring | Assets whose warranty ends within the threshold, with days left |
| Expired | Assets whose warranty has ended |
| Overdue check-outs | Assets past their due date, with the assignee |
| In use but unassigned | A data-quality check: assets in an in use status with nobody assigned |
Each row has quick actions: Change status and Check in. For many unassigned assets, follow the link to the Assets list pre-filtered for a bulk status change.
The In use but unassigned count is a data-quality hint. It is not included in Needs attention.
Thresholds and timing
- Set the warranty window in Settings → General (Warranty alert days, for example 30). Select Change thresholds to go there.
- The caption shows when alerts were last computed. Retired assets are excluded.
- A daily attention digest highlights items that need attention.
With AssetPilot Connect, the daily digest of overdue check-outs and expiring warranties can also post to a Slack or Teams channel.
