Troubleshoot AssetPilot Connect
Pre-release
AssetPilot Connect is not on Atlassian Marketplace yet. It requires AssetPilot's app REST API, which is not in production. This page describes the release candidate.
Connection
| Symptom | Cause | Fix |

| Only Jira admins can open AssetPilot Connect | You are not a Jira admin | Ask a Jira admin. Connect's settings are admin-only. |
| Header shows Not set up or Awaiting authorization | Setup isn't finished | Complete the three steps in Connect to AssetPilot. |
| Connection error / AssetPilot isn't responding | The health check failed. Syncs and deliveries are paused. | Select Test connection. Check that App REST APIs are still on for AssetPilot and that AssetPilot is installed and licensed. Then Authorize again. |
| MDM sources shows Connect AssetPilot first | MDM sync needs a working connection | Select Set up the connection. |
| Other tabs show AssetPilot isn't connected yet | You can configure webhooks, channels and keys, but nothing is sent | Finish the connection. |
MDM sync
| Symptom | Fix |
|---|---|
| Run Failed with 0 fetched | Check the source credentials and permissions. Intune needs DeviceManagementManagedDevices.Read.All. Replace the secret if it expired. |
| Run Partial | Expand the run. Each skipped device has a reason. |
REQUIRED_FIELDS_MISSING | The mapped asset type has a required field the MDM doesn't provide. Make the field optional in the asset type, or map those devices to another type. |
| Devices of a kind are skipped | The kind has no type and Default type is Don't create (skip). Map it in Type mapping. |
| Names didn't update | Names are only overwritten when Overwrite asset names is on. |
| Devices weren't assigned | Assignment needs Check available devices out to their MDM user and a matching email. Existing assignments are never changed. |
Webhooks and channels
| Symptom | Fix |
|---|---|
| Deliveries Retrying or Failed with HTTP 5xx | Your receiver returned an error. Fix it, then Redeliver from Activity. |
| Receiver rejects every request | Verify against the raw body and the current secret. If you rotated the secret, update the receiver. See Webhooks. |
| Signature fails only sometimes | Check your server clock. Requests older than 300 seconds are rejected by the sample code. |
| URL rejected when saving | Use https and a public address. Private, loopback and link-local addresses are not allowed. |
| Nothing arrives in Slack or Teams | Select Send test. If it fails, create a new incoming webhook or Workflows URL and replace it. |
API
| Code | Fix |
|---|---|
401 UNAUTHENTICATED | Check the X-API-Key header. Revoked keys fail right away; create a new key. |
403 FORBIDDEN | The key lacks the scope. Create a key with read, write or sync as needed. |
429 RATE_LIMITED | Wait for Retry-After, or raise the key's limit (30–600 per minute). |
503 NOT_CONNECTED | Connect is not authorized with AssetPilot. See Connection. |
